Default Unique back stamping on this Adkins...kinda creepy. Any insight?

Browsing Wheatland's cool selection of T206s on the auction block when I came across this Adkins with the funny back stamp. Kinda gives me the creeps. I couldn't find anything on Google about this one. Any history or insight to offer about this particular stamp?

No idea about the stamp, but I love it!

I have seen that card before (not in person). There were some kind of transfer stamps that must have been popular around that time as I have seen these on other cards. I am posting a Camnitz with a jockey that I used to own and a Killian with St. Christopher (?) on the back.

Too bad it's not a wet sheet transfer or scrap.

A number of non-sport "wet transfer" sets were available about that time, similar to how more recent generations collected and used rub-offs . Net54's non-sport community might know the origin of that particular card's stamp.

Default No Help But Another Similar Card...

I can't help with the origin, but I thought I'd share a similar back on a non-sport card. I don't collect a lot of non-sport, but thought this back was interesting so I picked it up. It looks to be an N14 A&G Govt Building card but it doesn't have the gold border that they usually do. It also appears to be blank backed. The rub off transfer idea mentioned above seems very likely I think.

Phenomenal. Thanks for posting this. I've added it to my back stamp project and think this is the best one I've seen so far.
