From the non-sports side. Check out the posts from today. Steve is trying to run a scam on Mike Berkus.

I have an ebay deal with Schwartz pending. Several weeks ago he won an auction of mine (1954 Topps Scoop Feller). As usual, I selected the option "cards will be shipped on receipt of payment". So far, no payment and I still have the card. When I saw his name and ebay user id, I thought that looked familiar but forgot to make the connection to this forum. Now I'm not optomistic about completing my sale.

Back when this was on the front page, I started haggling with Steve over some T206 southern leaguers. We haggled a while... he is one persistant negotiator.

Finally, a deal was struck. I sent him $xxx via Paypal. Today my 3 southern league T206s arrived, 3 different backs, Old Mill, Piedmont, and Hindu.

I can't vouch for all of Steve's deals, but he followed through on the deal with me. Thank you, Steve.

Frank, I know you meant well but bumping this thread to the top even to state something positive may not help ole Steve out that much. Starting a new thread with the title of something like "a completed good deal with Steve Schwartz" probably would have been a tad better.

God am I bored today, can you tell?

Dan
