Sad thing is that even if he sells it as a reprint, he'll probably get people to bid >$500

Default Nice!

Gotta admit, the back damage is a nice touch. Gives it that sense of realism missing in so many other bullshit graded reprint scams.

So this seller sold an "apparently" fake Ruth, and 1952 Topps Mantle in those weird grading company holders. But if you look at his completed auctions he also sold a raw 1949 Leaf Spahn, a raw 1949 Leaf Musial, and a raw 1968 Ryan rookie. This guy has a 100% feedback and his raw items look legit. Does anyone have an opinion on the raw items? Here are a few of his scans.

Default Raw

Something looks off with the "Copyright 1948" stamp at the bottom.

Colors looked washed out on the 52T 311, and the corners display incredible uniformity of wear====fake. Dave

That's what I thought as well. Those rounded corners look too perfectly rounded. Its a perfect example of a well-rounded card!

Default Musial

There are several Leaf Musials on ebay, both graded and ungraded. Most of them have the same type of boldness/fuzziness on the copyright 1948. It sure looks good to me.

I still don't think the seller can get away with selling the Ruth rookie even if they said no returns. They have an incorrect description and nowhere does it say fake or reprint. Since it says "1916" in the title I think ebay would rule against them if it goes to a dispute.
