Well, now that Maines, hands at neck has a better chance at appearing for me. In the interim, if any of the following n172 cards become available, I sure would like the chance to buy them ($150 limit) any pose:

George (grin) Bradley
Fred Pfeffer
Abner Dalrymple
Mike Slattery
Emmett Seery

Please add the following N300 Mayo ($250 limit):

Herman Long

Please add to this wantlist the following N284 Buchners ($350 limit) any pose:

Ned Williamson
Fred Pfeffer

Good point John, I guess the card not existing may be a contributing factor to its difficulty. In any case, George Streif was the first guy to get 4 triples in a game (Bill Joyce was the other).

So, I will modify my request to delete this OJ - and you get full credit for simplifying my wantlist!

Thank you.

That was an amazing game for "Strief" considering he only had 14 career triples in over 1300 at-bats.Its also wierd it happened right near the end of his major league playing days. You figure setting a record like that would help keep him around a little longer

Yup, if he lasted one more season he could of had his photo in the set (I believe they were taking pictures in '86), but he had no home - 7 teams in 5 years.

tlwise12: there are several lower grade n172s on ebay right now which may be available under $100. Even lower grade examples in the $50 - $75 range often are cards which have quite a bit of trimming and no back on them because they perhaps were glued into a scrapbook and had to be skinned out. N172s under $50 are not frequently encountered (by me); but may be an interesting option.

Many of the small ungraded lots of very nice Old Judge in Mastro and REA auctions seem to be going at very cheap prices. That may be something worth looking at. Good luck!
