Default 33 Ruth AGS 6?

http://cgi.ebay.com/1933-GOUDEY-GEOR...item3a6396dd08

This card is probably a fake or trimmed but has anyone ever bought a high dollar card like this from someone other than PSA, SGC, BVG and had any luck with a transfer? Also his other PSA graded cards (Gretzky, Ryan) do not so Mint to me.

-Thanks

Default Looks suspicious to me

I am by no means a expert on reprints etc, but I saw this on the bay and it does not look right to me.

Stay away from that seller. There is a pretty extensive thread on CU ( http://forums.collectors.com/message...hreadid=807444 ) about how the Gretzky hes selling was cracked from a bccg slab and trimmed, and the Nolan Ryan he is selling has 3 different "versions" that have been sold on ebay using that exact same cert number, and this card is not the right card for the cert number. Neither card is in a legitimate holder.

Peace,
Jesse

I didn't even pay attention to the card. If an auction description is in ALL CAPS or makes a lengthy religious treatise of any sort I move on.

Default my 2 cents

Allhopeisgone1980 tells me that this guy was born in 1980. A guy in his early 30's dealing with Goudey Ruths and PSA 9 Gretzky. The Gretzky he's got for sale as a PSA 9 looks terrible at the top. That and his ebay seller pic of the band slipknot tells me he's a punk trying to rip people off with bad cards

Default great post on collectors universe about this guy

http://forums.collectors.com/message...44&STARTPAGE=3

On Page 3 there is a mix of PSA Ryans all with the same serial number.

More than half of the psa cards are different too, either with the full name or spaces between lines or no spaces. All on the same PSA serial, hmmmm

Default Not too familer with the buybacks

This is related to the guy who's selling the 33 goudey

He sold this aaron previously

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...253D&viewitem=

And another seller is selling the aaron currently
http://cgi.ebay.com/2006-Bowman-Orig...06962509679789

Did aaron do 2-1/1 cards cause the signatures are different

I don't think any of those Hank Aarons are real. Here are two more auctions with different looking cards that closed recently. What a mess...

I highly doubt you can judge whether a person is ripping you off by what type of music he likes.....but yes, everything else throws up red flags.

But have you scene slipknot fans lately. They are a far cry from classical music fans

While i don't doubt something is shady with these auctions i was curious what you meant by the above statement?

Are you saying that is looks suspicious that a guy in his early 30's has high end cards for sale?

I don't know what others are saying about his musical taste, but I am saying the guy is a con artist who is about to rip someone off for some serious coin!
