Default SOLD! 1933 Goudey patent pair w/ paperwork

Posted By: jay wolt

1933 Goudey patent pair w/ paperwork of Philly A's RUBE WALBERG

The trio contains the standard baseball card & the Library Of Congress

card both stamped w/ the Library of Confress # and dated Sept 6 1933.

Also added is a unique 3rd piece. Apparently in 1990 someone paid to

recive a Library of Congress registry packet that has the initial forms

(copies) dated & signed in August & Sept '33 along w/ an embossed cover sheet

from 1990 bound.

Great display trio / companion piece lot of this epic set.

$329.00 dlvd. Paypal OK no extra fee! Or check / Money order

I find it interesting that according to this paperwork, the 1933 Goudey cards were not placed on sale until August 19th of 1933 and patent protection wasn't filed until late September. By then, the season would have been over!

Jim - the filing could have been a formality and done so
months after the cards were released. Possibly did it for
public record as opposed to filing the paperwork so it could
be released.
Just a guess on my part, but I too would find it odd that they
weren't released in conjunction w/ the season.
Perhaps someone w/ more info can chime in.

Item number 7 seems pretty clear in its wording (but, to us non-lawyers, that happens a lot!)
