Default Reprint W514 Strip

I had never seen full strip reprints and honestly have not seen many if any reprints of strips from this set. The Vaughn is an original.

That being said I took a shoot on this and it was very obviously not real.

Beyond the very obvious problems the stock was also very off.

Has anyone seen any of these before?

Default W 514

I collect W514s and have not seen reprints like this. However, it doesn't surprise me. Jim, what was the card stock like? It would be hard to recreate the feel of the thick, slightly fragile card stock.

Another reprint to watch out for...

I, too, pick up a W514 once in a while... I've seen a few reprints/fakes that were singles; I was satisfied that I could distinguish authentic ones from the fakes. But that's a well done strip.

Default Card stock

The card stock was not right, but the color was good. The stock was thinner, but not super thin. Kinda hard to explain.

The only thing I can thing of is someone took older paper and printed it somehow. That being said the guy I won it from on ebay really didn't know anything and took it back and refunded me with no problems.

Just weird all around but I wanted to at least take a nice scan of it. The wear to the fletcher card was not natural ie it looks like it was printed with the creasing.

WoW! Thanks James, nice to hear the seller was responsive. Thanks for the heads up, I'll look for these in the future, THEY never print one.
