CHRIS

Thanks for sharing these photos with us....they bring back 30 years of fond memories.

Sorry, that I have to correct on one date....St. Louis National was in 1982.

Best regards,

TED Z

The back of the photo says "1981 St. Louis Convention." Is it possible that it wasn't a National and just some other convention in St. Louis? You guys would know better than me. I was three years old in '81.

It was great seeing the photo of Buck Barker. Did you happen to find any other pics of pioneering collectors? For someone in our age group, it's interesting to finally see what some of these folks looked like.

I found some of Lionel Carter and others. I will probably do another photo gallery like this next week on the blog because the feedback that I've been getting on this batch has been great!

Ok. You guys asked for them, so I posted a bunch more pics on my blog today. If you know some of the ones I didn't name, please help me out!
Thanks and enjoy!

I recognize one guy in one of the "un-named" pictures. The picture that seems to be cut in half below Bill Goodwin's photo is Rob Rosen of Kit Young Cards (probably Kit in the striped shirt beside him). Been friends with him (and Kit) since around 1984. Kit was the the 1st full-time dealer that I ever dealt with and still do to this day. I was like 12 yrs old. Still call out there to just "shoot-the-bull" with Rob

thanks for posting the pics....I love seeing how the hobby used to be. I wish I wasn't doing other things and had gotten into it back then. I just finished my TTS run a few days ago, with the help of Rich K, and really enjoy seeing early hobby stuff....regards

Barry......Frank Nagy for sure. How could he be unknown? He certainly helped me start my collecting addiction almost 40 years ago.
