Default Does Size Matter? 1939 reds pennant

Didn't know if I should title my thread does size matter or don't buy online if the item doesn't have a good description? I bought this reds pennant form the Saco River auction a couple weeks ago. I could tell it wasn't full size. But by the picture I thought it was 3/4 size. Opened the box was surprised to see the pennant was 5 x 11. I bought it under the estimate but Spent more than I would have given the size. Was $175 plus commission a beat on this or am I still ok value wise.

Default SACO River needs to hire a writer

Their descriptions (if there even is one) are brutal!

Sadly, it's more than I would have paid for a similarly sized Giants example. That style usually is 3/4.

It is still a very cool mini. Very rare for sure.

I don't think you overpaid necessarily if it is for your personal collection. It is a rare pennant. My greater concern was that the pennant was trimmed a little to improve the tip. Those are generally in that 11 inch range, but the boarders look thin to me.

I feel a little better about the purchase now. I bought some non baseball lapel pins at the auction that turned out to be 10k gold. Sold them at the mall at one of those cash for gold places for a tidy profit. I also bought two other pennants at the auction along with some books. The shipped the pennants folded with the books on top.

It was a bit too much to pay, and they certainly should've posted the dimensions. I personally would call them on it.

Still a nice looking piece that you do not see too often.
