Default just recently found a 1925 spalding trophy was looking for some info.

i recently found an awesome trophy at a flea market! i originally bought it as a joke trophy for a fantasy baseball league. then my dad told me to try to do some research on it and havent been able to find much on it. so it anyone out there could help with some information on it would be greatly appreciated!! the engraving on the trophy reads MASONIC BASEBALL LEAGUE 1925 CHAMPIONS COMPASS DIVISION PARRISH NO. 292

Dude you hit a homerun...out of the park if you got it cheap....Congratulation! that's what's called a Spalding Trophy made by Dieges and Clust...it' one of the best trophies ever made. I want all the details so I can possibly do a story on my site SportsAntiques.com...I'll PM you. -Carlton

Not just that... condition appears to be phenomenal. Extremely well cared for, as these were often prone to damage and necessary restoration over the years. Yours is a a stellar example. Very tough to find them this clean...

One last positive benefit... the Catcher Trophy is often considered to be the most beautiful and desirable of the five. I believe it to be the second rarest, and perhaps the most valuable (about "even" with the Batter Trophy).

I've noticed the catcher does seem to be the favorite of a lot of collectors...nevertheless it's subjective. I've always liked the baseman best... a lot more actually...The Fielder and the Baseman are my favorites....it's the action of the baseman...and those incredible bases.

Although the Baseman is my favorite I don't have one (yet)....my membership in the Spalding Trophy Club is my one sole Fielder..Tradionally they've always been so expensive I've found I can get generally get more for my money with other figurals
