Needs a link -

I would also say with the recent Ruth sales and this being a graded starter example for the more common budget collector, it's not an outlandish price in my mind. With these items, low grade examples are often sought by more bidders just to fill a space they may otherwise never fill.

Looks like junk!
Sold for $3900.
How can this happen
I would imagine it happened because one bidder bid $3875, and was outbid by the winning bidder. The increments ebay uses at that price level are $50, so the final bid was $3925.

Does that answer your question?

Such a great card. Maybe not this one in particular but still. I think better looking psa 1s go for 8k or 9k so not too shocking in my opinion.

Sorry,I guess I might be too critical?
I also have a few cards in worse shape ,
just to have them.Also because I can't
afford a real nice copy of the same card.

I have seen much worse! And that card for that price wasn't bad.

When I was in the restaurant business a friend told me I should lower my prices, as everything has a buyer at a price.

Well, I guess I got a market comp on my gem:

Not that it is for sale at that price--how would I replace it?

As a mention, it seems the '21 Exhibit Ruths have softened a bit over the last 4-6 months. Anyone see that? I have always liked the card. It might be time.

Incredible card. Saw a nice one at the National a few years ago and so impressive when you have in hand.

Virtually everything has softened over the last several months. But prices are still way higher than pre-pandemic. Still, if you want one and have the means, get one, Leon. I mean, you aren't getting any younger...

I'm a Cobb guy but the one Ruth I own is the 21 Exhibits, just a fantastic card.

Ain't that the truth! Some days I feel older than others. The last few have been that way.
Have to pay bills, then buy cards. Not the other way around. It is a great early pose.
