Ok here's deal, I am going to hold a
contest. I was inspired by the paperclip to house trade sequence, and
have decided to try the same thing but with cards. In a nutshell it
goes like this: I'll have 2 cards and they'll both be up for trade
separately. It is then up to you to make offers 10% in my favor and
trade for the cards. after 1 year, the lesser valued card will be given
away to one lucky user who participated in a trade with me during this
process.

The more trades I make, the higher the
value of the card I will be giving away will be. Depending on how well
this does, the card I give away could be anything from a Nolan Ryan
rookie to a 1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig, to a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle, and
even to a Ted Williams rookie. It all depends on how much you want to
participate. So please help me out, in doing so, you'll be helping
yourselves too.

The 2 cards I am starting with are a
1974 Topps Billy Williams (in G-VG worth 25 cents) and a 1954 Topps
Sherm Lollar (in VG worth about $4 (I am guessing on that because I
my price guide doesn't list VG prices) I'm starting small in hopes of getting a good solid foundation on which I will build to get the higher end cards.Below are scans of the cards so you can see for yourself what you'd be trading for. Thanks for looking, hope to trade with you and Thanks in advance if you do trade. Note: All cards must be pre 1975!

if you want the billy williams your card offer + 10% would be 28cents or more

if you want the lollar your card offer +10% would be $4.40 or more

[IMG][linked image][/IMG]

every trade will be listed here as they are made, so you can see the progression of these trades.

the offer looks good Ralph, could you provide scans? I'll look them over, but I'm pretty sure I'll accept the deal anyway, just want to see what I'd be getting. Thanks

so far I haven't received Ralph's info, but maybe you should wait for this deal to go through before you list your offer. If it looks like this current deal will not go through, then post your offer and I'll look it over.

the contest is going pretty good. I'm waiting on the cards from my second deal and then I am going to begin work on my third deal. After that there is nothing scheduled so far. I hope this contest takes flight soon, although I think it will after the next few trades.

Not sure of their value, if you could, please find out the prices for me and let me know Thanks. Also, don't forget to add 10% to the value to make the value you have to match or better.

I suppose if you want to you can Ralph. However, I already am doing a trade with someone else right now, once that is completed though, you can make an offer.

the Brock and Monbouquette are no longer available. What is available are the Hayes and Vosmik. It would be too confusing having 4 cards to deal with so I'm making it so there are only 2 cards I have to deal with. Hope you don't mind. If this proves to be too difficult I can make the Brock and Monbouquette available again.

I'd really like to trade these cards away, so if you have anything to offer, I'll listen.
