Default MVP Trivia

There have been 9 players named MVP who didn't make the all star team the year they won MVP. However, only one of these MVPs never made an all star team at all in their entire career.

Who was he?

(since 1960)

I believe he only played one year of baseball in college but managed to hit .390 with 16 HRs in 48 games.

I don't know if he is the last person, but Terry Pendleton wasn't an All Star in is 1991 MVP season.

Bryce Harper was NL MVP in 2021 but not an All Star.

Bryce Harper is correct.

The list of nine consists of some pretty impressive players I wouldn't have thought weren't all stars that season, including:

Jimmy Rollins
Chipper Jones
Robin Yount
