I wish. Ted was $10. These were $40 each at an antique shop.

You were great with the 10 Ted Williams... The other 2 not so much... The foxing (brown stains) kinda kills them. 10-15 each in that condition....

Rather overpay for something 70-80 years old that does not pop up often.

Hello,
Question for the group. Outside of a display cabinet, what is the best way to holder and care for individual pinbacks ? Thank you.

I get my cases from Indian River Supply. They sell cases from this size (12x16) all the way down to small enough for individual pins. The cases are pretty reasonable.

Still trying to find the 1915 Pittsburgh Rebels version. Anyone want to trade?

Default Pittsburgh Pirate Pins and Buttons

I am a collector of vintage Pittsburgh Pirate Pins and Buttons. I would be pleased to display a few in the future. Always interested in seeing Pittsburgh Pins and acquiring some that I do not have. I guess I am "pinhead" as well.

Antique store Pick-ups.

Not sure on the date or rarity on any of them.

Charge! I thought looked 70s.

Small orioles one has a magnet back. No idea on time period for this one.

Plastic Phillies Ring I assume is a charm from a Pinback? Probably 50s.?

Would love you alls input.

I believe the Charge pin is 1966.

I'm not a pin collector, per se.
However, I have a couple of pins that I wanted to display on a book shelf.
I don't know if I invented this method, but I'm very happy with the results.
I went to Home Depot and spent 65 cents on copper wire. It is both flexible and sturdy.
I got home and cut it to size and then bent it into shape.
See the fruits of my labor:

No great pinbacks have turned up for me lately but I have been finding some of the pinback doodads that we often see attached.

Default Recent 3" No-Hit Pitcher Pinback pickups

Here are four 3" no-hit pitcher pinbacks that I have recently added to my collection:
- Jim "Catfish" Hunter (A's PG 1968)

- Rollie Fingers (A's combo no-hitter 1975)

- Bo Belinsky (Angels 1st no-hitter 1962)
NOTE: No Angels Belinsky pinback button exists

- Fernando Valenzuela (Dodger phenom in the 1980's, Fernando pitched his no-hitter in 1990) Viva Fernando!

For the first time in forever, this is actually not an online auction find. It was an online purchase though. Couldn’t miss the opportunity to pick up a vintage NY Giants football pinback.

I need to thank a fellow Net54 member for blowing up my credit card by putting this on eBay . I think I have all of the 50's-60's PM10 Cubs pins now other than Ransom Jackson, unless there is a Roy Smalley. I have Banks, Cavarretta, Kiner, Santo, and Sauer.

There is a Roy Smalley. Only one I ever saw was in Muchinsky’s book. Never saw it come up for sale with his other pins. Both the Jackson and Smalley are among the most scarce PM-10s.

Thanks for confirming that, I thought that I had heard of the Roy Smalley pin somewhere before but wasn’t sure.

Great pin! Andy lets some good ones go, from time to time. Pierce, Andy?

Hi Rob,

Well, with this Kiner and the Gomez that sold yesterday, I'm officially out of PM10's (except for my Giants). Someday though! Glad it made it to you safely Cliff!
