Default 1954 Mantle ball and a 62 Mantle Maris ball

I have a 1954 ball signed by Mickey Mantle among others including, Warren Spahn, Pete Runnels & George Kell plus minor league Oklahoma city team. The ball is stamped western association baseball league. I researched it and it is from 1954 as shown by the players names. I also bought a ball from an older man who had autographs on a ball from the 1964 mets and the 62 yankees according to him. I love the ball and would love opinions on them.

i think the form of the maris is okay, but it looks traced/gone over, the mantle in the upper right looks like it might be traced too, harder to tell, but the maris looks like a trace job.

yeah, you can tell with the letter "R" in Roger that it was traced over and whoever traced over screwed up there. The Mantle looks traced over as well, you can tell by how dark the Mantle auto is compared to the autograph below it.

You know I paid $150.00 for this and never stopped to notice they were traced over. What a shame, I'm sure if they left it alone you would have still seen them.
thanks, I still love the ball and will keep it forever. It has many autographs that were not traced over including Stengle.

If it is small consolation, the Maris is traced over much better than many tracing jobs I have seen in the past. It is possible that the pen was running dry when he originally signed it and he himself took another pen and traced his own signature. Only a possibility I might add, but maybe it is possible.
