Default Its always a good time for a Pinback thread!

So, I can't sit back and complain at the volume of Coach's Corner/Chris Morales/fake eBay Ruth/Gehrig auto threads and not contribute something meaningful to rebut them.

I love cardboard et. al., but this has been my collecting passion over the last 3-years.

Not many toughies (if any)...but I love 'em nonetheless

Finished up shadowbox #2/6 this weekend -- can't wait to start #3.

Looking forward to Strongsville!

Nice. I've just got a few pins of Lefty O'doul and a Sweet Caporal of Duffy but have gotten into boxing pins lately:

I also like Peter Max and have a small collection of his pins from the movie Paint Your Wagon:

Here are some of mine. One-dimensional, to be sure, but I've always enjoyed collecting, discovering and learning about pinbacks.

As an Indians fan, I must say, those look f***ing great...

AB keep up the good work, they shadowboxes are looking good. Looking forward to Strongsville here as well. Think I'm going on Sunday with my dad and the kids...

I have always loved collecting pinbacks. Here is a small sample of some from my favorite team.

Great pinbacks everyone. Love seeing pinback collections as much as I like seeing cards.

Rob, you're not doing the Young and Feller any justice...you can hardly see 'em. Have tried on a couple of occasions to pick up the Young pin but with no success.

My favorite pinbacks are of Pittsburgh Pirates greats (pre-war and post-war).

I was fortunate to pick up the PM1 earlier this year and the Diamond Gum followed about 2 mos later...

The next 2 pins are of my favorite player of all-time. Would rival some of the toughest pre-war pins in terms of scarcity. Was lucky to add a second one about 3-4 years after purchasing the first one...

Mike

Glad to learn you and Frank have something in common. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
