Default Butterfinger prices w/stamp

Posted By: Bryan Long

I have one of the cardboard butterfinger cards that have the butterfinger stamp at the top. I know they are pretty rare and I always try to look for them in auctiosn to get the going rate for these. I wanted to start collecting them, but I never see them for sale. Can anyone offer any insight at all as to what the price of these things would be on the market today? Have there been any for sale at recently? I know Barry, I think, had some for sale a while back in one of his auctions, but that has been some time ago. I am also looking to get mine graded, since I never see any graded as well. Any info is appreciated.

Are you talking about these:

or some other Butterfinger issue?

That is exactly what I am talking about. The Tex card is the one that I have. I'm just not sure what the real sell price of one these might be. Maybe not that much at all - there are all kinds of rare cards that do not sell for high prices because of demand. Is there a demand for these things?

you do an ebay search for R-310 or R310 as they pop occasionally. That should give a good baseline for market value.

in his April '06 auction. Group of 11 sold for just under $3900. although it included a Gehrig.

There are more than the 11 he sold, as I have a Frisch. I have seen Carleton (have one) more than any other player (about a half-dozen in the past 3-5 years), and a few each of O'Farrell and Bertell.

They aren't just stamped, but come on thicker, cardboard stock, not the paper thin regular version.
