Default Umpire Indicator Date?

Picked up this umpire indicator as a display piece and was wondering if anyone had a date range for it? It’s blank-backed, 4 balls 3 strikes with a blank space after ball 4/strike 3.

Thanks!

It looks like it is made of bakelite. Even though bakelite was invented in the 1870's you tend to find it used extensively in the 1930's and 1940's. If I had to guess I would say that period.

If you want to confirm it’s bakelite, either a) run very hot water over a corner; if it’s bakelite it will smell like formaldehyde or b) swab it with a Formula 409 soaked Q-tip; the Q-tip will turn yellow if it’s bakelite.

I think it's made of celluloid, it was often used to make vanity sets.
