Default Eat Your Wheaties

I like advertising pieces with a baseball tie in. Can anyone name the players depicted? The team? I was thinking the Washington Senators but I don't think the Senators wore red caps in 1948. The men depicted could be announcers or perhaps players from a local minor league team.

Agree Parkin is a possibility, also agree likely some musical faces.
However, it cannot be Damn Yankees related unless the 1948 date is incorrect. The first edition of the book is 1954 while the play was 1955 I think.

I looked at some old pictures of Max and he is a possibility but I don't think it is him. I like the musical angle.

I found this saying that in 1951 was the 18th annual Wheaties week, so that should date the one on eBay to 1947.
