I had one heckuva mailday today.

I'm cracking the cases on both of these T206s. I want them both in my binder, and I also don't think the Seymour is a 1.

The cards pictured in both of these are from a Net54 member, Doug. He added the card in the second picture.

My COMC order came in...

And I still have one outstanding order coming from Scott from Net54.

C46 Complete Set (90). I have always had a soft spot for the C46 Imperial Tobacco cards, I love the wood grain borders...

Been a good December so far (still hate cold weather though).

Although I love my Sov. 150 Portraits, Steinfeldt EPDG is "OK" with me.

Fun, fun, Scott

@Orly: That's sweet!! I done the 4 pc set of Cobb T206, but trying to convert to ALL PSA for a registry. Something I should of done before-hand.
The colors on that particular card makes it more appealing than the others.

I think it is financially wiser to cross to psa, but I wont donit for 2 reasons:
1. I think the black on the sgc makes the colors pop more.
2. Psa would not give a straight crossover grade. I would have to crack and send because they are too arrogant to admit SGC may have actually gotten it right.

a really great ballplayer....just received the Worch.......added to the rest of what are probably the most difficult other Gehringers : the 1937 Detroit Tigers SubSet of the 1937 Type 5 R314 Goudey Wide Pen Premiums ( which is 88% Toronto and Montreal players) and his "Annis Furs Detroit Tigers Team Set" from 1933 or '34.....I still need the Sawyer Biscuit but I need to hit the lottery first....

Default T207 Speaker

Although the Speaker T207 says Tris Speaker bats right handed, the front of the card clearly shows him batting lefty.

I checked Baseball Reference and Tris Speaker was a lefty!

Default A brown whale

Had been looking for this one for some time, when what to my wondering eyes did appear ... and so, Mr Livingston makes the last of the Factory 606 Recruits, bringing the sordid business of finishing the Recruits to a close.

Many thanks, Mac W!!

That's three subsets down - four to go... at a card a month I figure that makes about 10 more years.

..

..just added the "Van Mungo Brooklyn , N.L."....no attribution to source of photograph...palm trees 'way in the back , so Spring training....he doesn't have a lot of cards so a Van Lingle Mungo master set would be a walk in the park.......

Great pickups everyone! I picked up a few Series 2 upgrades including another double name T210 from a board member. Once I confirm the name ill post it. Also in the same exchange I crossed of this Bentley card to move to 11 needed for completion of Series 5. Good times.

Nice pickup Jason on the Bentley T210. He look like he may have been a Native American.

I received this cool 1904-1918 Real Picture Postcard with a catcher with a very huge catcher mitt. Great clarity and composition.

Thank you Patrick. Quite a few players in the T210 set look to be of Native American ancestry. I wish there was more information on the subject.

Nice Pickels Marc. Great pickup.

I chose T210-1 Balenti as my aviator long ago due to his great expression and clear Sav. on uniform. Had to look him up (also long ago). He was probably a Native American.

http://www.baseball-reference.com/re...d=balent001mic

Not to say all people born in Oklahoma and attending Carlisle Indian School were Native Americans, but it's a decent chance.

Although "ghost" cards are neat to look at, I've never had any real interest in owning one. That is, until Scott R. put this E126 Am. Caramel "ghost" card of Sam Rice in a Net54 auction. Being an OCD collector of Sam Rice cards, I just couldn't resist!

Default Standard Biscuit Davenport

Thank you, thank you, thank you Brian! Been looking for one of his cards for a very long time Although I don't quite agree on the 1921 D350-3 classification, feel it's more of a C-135 era card. I mean the man was out of baseball by 1919 and never reached star status except throwing a no-no. But what do I know

Thank you everyone for the nice T207 Speaker comments -- I am really enjoying this card. I've never liked the set because the WaJo is so hideous, but some of the cards are really growing on me.

Val -- I am really happy that you were able to score the Rice ghost!!
