Default Battle of 2 Shows

Drove up to the Westchester Show early Sunday am to be there when it opened. Parking lots full! Bad enough I had to pay $8 for parking, they had to direct me me to an auxilliary lot! Holy smokes. But I was excited to see the mob of people. I figured Christmas shopping or some great autograph guests. When I got to the front of the center the enter line was going down the stairs. Two lines! I snapped a few pictures and was ready to post them with the headline "Card Shows Alive and Well in NY". Took me about 10-15 minutes to finally pay and get through the door and the first person I saw was carrying what looked like a large fish tank. Odd. Then I saw a cage. When I got into the room it was packed. And buzzing. And it was . . . . the Reptile Show.
The baseball card show? In the basement. Not crowded. Average age about 50. A whole different vibe.
Keep an eye out for my exclusive line of Reptile Trading Cards coming in 2017.

I love reptiles. They can be a noisy bunch though. If there is a reticulated python card I am all in!!

Apparently you are not the only one! Crazy crowded. News to me. If my wife is a quarter mile from a snake all hell breaks out.

The reptile show was here in Raleigh last weekend at the usual card-show location. I was next door at the big Raleigh flea market with my daughter (looking for cards) and we popped in for a bit. Needless to say, my daughter was much more impressed by the reptile show then she was when I took her to the last card show. But the inventory was pretty amazing!
