Default O/T- Dock Ellis throws a No-No on LSD

I saw this posted on the CU board and figure there might be someone here who either hasn't seen it or would like to watch it again. And for some of us living through those 70s as teenagers, we can relate a little bit. A 4 minute video that will put a smile on your face.

There is an entire documentary devoted to Doc's No-No. It's on Netflix.

When there are baseball highlights on SportsCenter, a color trail shows exactly where a pitched ball travels. I wonder if Dock saw the same type of "trails" while throwing the ball during his no-hitter.

Dock Ellis, not "Doc."

Josh,

Pete's correction of the thread title was cause for spontaneous Internet laughter, hours after the fact? Please explain.

Best regards,

Eric

i will go out on a limb and say he didn't think the corrected spelling was all that funny and it's the clip he thought is funny. If you had never seen the clip (there are a few who haven't) then it's pretty funny....actually even if you have seen it, it's still pretty funny.

Leon,

Crazy but good. Love it when he scored the "Touchdown!"

Peace, Mike

Here's an odd coincidence. His name in the box score would be "Ellis, D." (Give it a minute to sink in.)

I looked forward to this appearing in a theater for a year until it was shown at the Harris in Downtown Pittsburgh. Loved it.
