Default Has anyone had any good "steals" with Yahoo auctions?

Posted By: James Feagin

I know that much of the pre-war is passed-off reprints or high-priced singles. However, has anyone ever found any useful part of their collection on Yahoo Auctions?

James

About 6 years ago I won three T205s in strong vg-ex condition - raw. I got a good price and the stuff was shipped fast. It's the only deal I have done with yahoo.

Bought all 34 for $2900 and yes they were real. Did very , very well with them. There are alot of fakes on Yahoo. Be cautious. I also bought a Standard Biscuit Cobb for $400 and it was fake and I never got the funds back. 1 great 1 bad.

About 5 years ago I picked up a W511 Ruth (#55 bluetint) EX/NRMT for $75. It sold for 4X that right after I got it.

But thats it, I gave up on even looking at all the garbage and over priced stuff there.
