That is a big part of it. I complain about the scum in the hobby all the time but am the nicest person you ever want to meet in person. I will still complain about it but i argue with no one.

Then the first person to start any open complaining will be escorted out of the building.

Then the elephant in the room. Almost every dealer there and every dealer that sells PSA slabs wants it to go away as fast as possible.

Visible security can certainly deter people.

Do you think he has a job when he gets back to work on Monday morning?

I can only assume he received a very stern and terse speaking to on Thursday night. I wonder if he is even still at the show or was he given tickets tot he Cubs game and wont be seen until its time to tear down the booth.

I'm assuming this policy of not being recorded is on advice of counsel as, prior to Jeff's involvement, they ran their mouths quite a bit.

Depending on if Chicago is a one or two party consent place you could just record them without them knowing.

I would agree Jeffrey more than likely told them to STFU you morons.

I'd also like to see the same type of video journalism at the PSA Booth and see watch kind of rhetoric spews out of mouths of the principals at PSA. My guess is that they will, like PWCC, scamper for cover at the sight of a video camera.

By the way, does PSA still host Registry Luncheons at the National? When they did years back, there was a Q & A time. I'd be very surprised if PSA would give the public that same opportunity today.

Since he was basically saying that before they paid him I'll go out on a limb and say I'm 99% certain lol.

I think it's two party. Isn't the building also private property?

What a place to have reached in life, where you can't even talk for fear of making your legal predicament worse. Was it worth it, Brent?

I'm guessing the answer is "Yup."

Just ask the writer of the article about his showplace home in 1859 Oregon Magazine

"The façade of Betsy and Brent Huigens’...

...is as traditional as it gets"

As far as I am aware, I'm pretty sure it is 2 party as well. The ownership I think would be more interesting since I believe it is owned by the village of Rosemont.

Exactly why I started this thread. Would take alot of guts to show up at the national. They are lucky there isn't hundreds of people asking questions.

That was classic. I was there Tuesday thru Thursday and they were not there prior to opening. It seemed like an uncomfortable environment, but they were both there Thursday as shown. Plenty of rubes stopping by to admire the “vault”.

It was this character that Huigens and her husband sought to preserve when they bought the house in early 2016. While previous homeowners had made changes to the interior, including a kitchen remodel and painting the den’s woodwork white, the Huigens weren’t interested in making further alterations that might prove out-of-sync. Instead, they restored all of the old wooden windows and retooled glitchy door hardware. When it came time to decorate, the couple needed an interior designer who could help them express their personal style and ensure functionality for their family, while still respecting the house’s traditional shell."

Think they have the same stance on altering cards.

I didn't comment on that article when I first read it, but I thought exactly the same "same stance on altering cards" as you did.

I'm sure whatever she or any employees say on camera can be used against them in court, so there's the reason why she doesn't want to be recorded. The guy asking the questions should've asked her where can he see that policy? Is it in writing? She's an amateur...didn't PWCC's lawyers sit her down and go over what to say in situations like this?

She didn't help PWCC's situation. I would've been all over those questions to get it out in the open instead of making it look like they've got something to hide. She looks scared too but I would if I thought my lifestyle is in potential jeopardy.

Saw Brent today. Looks like he has aged 10 years since Cleveland. Same with Betsy but she could still maybe grade a 7 NM if Mosher soaked and stretched her!

PWCC catching Big Heat at the show but then

That was a tasteless comment you made about someone's spouse. You really should refrain from that on this forum. And if she wasn't in the hobby you would be given an infraction or banned.

I am sorry. It will not happen again. Was trying to be funny with a play on words but now I see how it was distasteful and offensive. I apologize to Betsy and Brent and The Forum.

Curious if they matched the curtains in the vault

I thought the Feds were storming the place this morning. Turns out it’s just a Halo convention going on upstairs lol. Had me convinced

Illinois is 2-party and DESCC is a municipal building. Editing now because I just saw the portion of the video with the claim about private property. She is within her IL rights to demand an end to the recording of her person, but I find it unlikely the same goes for the inanimate display booth. Do you concur?

Yeah, I told my wife we weren't even the weirdest people in the building this year.

Anyone looking for an HM Taylor Cobb?

PWCC has this one currently for sale... Cobb

Same one that they "sold" about a month ago... Cobb

And same one that they "sold" about a month or so before that... Cobb

So don't worry if you don't win it, should be available again in about a month from now.

So someone won for 6900, turned around and consigned it and realized 4400 les fees. Good ROI. I wonder if the original purchase was recommended by Brent in his adviser hat.

Jeff- I am glad you pointed this out. I remember thinking what an ugly and terribly over-graded example, last auction. And then in my daily Cobb search, I saw the card, AGAIN.
