Q: At what point will this effect the market price? 200? 500?

I once had 35 copies of the same card, but have since sold off all but 10.

I would have to say it has already effected the market on Green Cobbs. Even if its miniscule one person going after a certain card inflates the sale prices. Unless you have a certain price point and are letting examples go that exceed that number.

I also think it has had to affect the marked. Now if he was to sell those over a month or 2 that would really affect the market. Even a guy like me could afford one.

Mr Rareback that is an amazing Cobb collection.

in my opinion, taking 100 random t206 cobbs out of circulation has little to no effect on the market. people forget how many t206s are out there.

I agree. And condition comes into play as well on any large group hitting the market.

Any Green Cobby is a great card, but from what I can tell from this scan most look to be lower grade which in my opinion would have zero effect in the market on let's say mid to higher end Green Cobb portraits. At least in my opinion

Default Suggestion

Might I suggest collecting 1952 Topps Tony Baritrome cards as your next project?

Seriously, that is quite something to see that many Green Cobbies together. Still awaiting my first. Your focus is impressive.

I think that if they were all unloaded rather quickly in a short period of time it would affect short term values. In that some might go higher than expected but just as many if not more will go less.

Just imagine if you have a green cob the pride of your collection and decide to unload at the same time that all of these are being unloaded . PASS!!

This would not affect the long term values .

Why would you think I would suddenly get rid of all my cobbs?
I would sell my 50s and up stuff first if I had to

IT was a hypothetical situation...I have no idea why he thought...that I would think...that he might think to sell all of his cobbs?

Great job. As someone who doesn't know anything about T206s, how many green Cobbs T206s exist?

Can you provide a breakdown? (Since you mention P42 the totals must include Red or Bat Off). Also curious how many 4s and 5s you have of each subject if you are willing to share. Thanks!
