why does one want scans of the most counterfeited cards around? If you are making a forum on how to detect these particular cards, i dont see a problem, but it looks funky to me.

I would suggest before giving up scans, put some identifier on them.

just my two cents.

Default Scans needed for an AD

Listen I need the scans for an advertisement. I have been selling cards full time for 20 years. I have worked for SGC and for a week in 1999 PSA. Since we of course have the typical cynical people on here why don't I just list some references. Leon Luckey, Derek Grady, Peter Lalos, Scott Heilmann, Bob Luce, Michael Goldberg, Brian Dwyer, Reza Tabatabani, Joe Orlando, Brian Drent, Jay Wolt. Do I need to list more? If you are worried feel free to contact any of these peolpe and just about any major dealer in the country.

I'll get a scan up of Gehrig, give me a day or two to dig out the card. Might have another....

Some of those references cancel out some of the others.... but then using me as a reference would cut both ways.

Of course you always have my support Glyn. Since most of these are high profile, but relatively common, they are not ones I own or I would send some scans over. I would always be happy to give you a reference. best regards

Glyn,
I will send over a scan of the Robinson and the Williams. Glad to help out. I would add that this is a hobby that it does one good to have a certain level of cynicism.

We go a few years back at least...I'm hurt.

I would suggest before jumping on someone so fast they should have enough experience in the hobby or at least on this forum to know who is who.

Glyn is a top notch guy!

FUBAR....

a quick suggestion: Prior to being so reactionary, read The Board to get a feel for who posts/where they are coming from.

You just called out (unnecessarily) a pretty important contributor.

I (we) appreciate your being protective of our hobby.

However, I'd encourage you to think twice prior to calling anyone out.

A LOT of very hobby relevant folks read/add to these boards.

Respectfully,

Although i erred in calling this particular person out, not everyone knows everyone. Lets put the shoe in the other foot.. if i was asking for these scans, of which are the most sought after and faked cards on the market..... i would have been called many a names and none very pleasant i would guarantee. He answered why he needed the scans and that he knew certain people and that was good enough for me. I let it go, very glad he had a valid reason....

FYI i wasn't the first one to call him out... but i am the only one taking a hit! Relax people, no one accused anyone of anything! We are all here to protect each other. LIfe is too short for drama
