I guess I'll start it again this month. Surprised to have USPS deliver this on a Sunday. Thanks Richard for a smooth transaction.

Sorry, off topic, but is it the norm for you guys state side to receive mail on the week-ends? I have read that before on here about deliveries/mail service on Saturdays and always wonder if that was normal?
Our mail service, at least here in Southern Ontario is only Monday to Friday.

Nice card, BTW.

Same thing happened to me last week. I'm guessing if the system is flooded with packages scheduled for a Monday delivery at your local Post Office, they just throw them on the truck with Priority Mail Express packages that are delivered on Sunday.

It used to be that Sunday deliveries around here for Amazon were handled by the USPS, but now Amazon uses their own employees for deliveries.

I get that it's got some creases and corner damage, but that's a card that is above the moniker "beater." Nice pickup!

Pardon the non-Baseball nature of the cards but I've been on a bit of a hockey kick lately (I still think the Hockey Sweet Cap PC's are perhaps the most beautiful cards ever made!)...

This one was on my wish-list for a while, but with a Psa and sgc combined population of 4, I didn't think I would see it for a long while. Thrilled to own it.

Leon- That is an exquisite postcard! Did a little on-line sleuthing to see what I could learn. Was able to access the 1907 Holy Cross yearbook which had some photos and info about the 1905 team.

The Yale game marked the grand opening of Fitton Field.

Seems Yale won the game 5-4.

In 1905 Holy Cross had a catcher that went by the name of Carrigan. Making the bold assumption that the home team was in white and thus in the field, that would be him behind home plate.

Rough looking fellow 2nd from left back row. Very cool or what?

Default Why I love Net54

It's been awhile since I broke out the scanner, so these pickups go back a couple months, but they all have one thing in common: they were all procured from folks I've met on the board. Which means: no buyer's premium, no crazy shipping rates, no late nights, and no three week delays in shipment. Just great transactions among great dudes. Thanks to Leon, Orlando, Chris, Don, and Wondo.

Amazing cards as always Sam.

Holy crap Sam, awesome! I'd love to see the back of the Cobb Bat on 4, because that front looks much better than a 4. And I am mucho jealous of the CJ Cobb- let's trade, let's trade!! Anyway, that is an amazing post. Congrats, great stuff, truly

This one found me. Its previous owner was kind enough to give me first crack at it.
