Default shill bidding on this?

Posted By: Mike

This isn't a vintage auction, but I know the people here can spot shilling bidding a mile away. Except for the fact that the shill actually wound up the high bidder it looks funny to me. As usual, any comments would be appreciated.

I don't think so, but not an expert. Just looks like he wanted the high bid earlier and kept increasing the bid.

Sometimes your shill wins the auction, it just goes with the territory. When that happens, you just tell eBay that the winner did not pay + don't leave any feedback.

This suspicious bidder has won three auctions in 4 years, and nothing in the past year. Id agree that this looks suspicious.

I imagine getting a Second Chance offer the same day for this item would be a huge red flag?!!
thanks

IMHO a fair second chance offer would be one bid increment above Kraigg007's bid of $3388.98. Anything above that amount would be attributable to a suspected shill bid.

But the SCO was for my maximum, so I'll pass unless they will take a more reasonable incremental offer...thanks again
