I just received my "La Mallorquina Caramelos Peloteros" Zalazar card in the mail today - it is about the size of an S&H green stamp. Did I get taken?

So no one has any ideas about this?

(it's a serious question). Thanks.

Runscott,
Not to panic.
Some Cubans may call that diminutive card, "El Chiquitico."

Believe it or not, the cards from the 1930 Baguer chocolate set are even smaller.
They measure 5/8"x7/8" and as far as I know they are the smallest Cuban set.

Comparing the Mallorquina to a postage stamp was pretty good, but you might have fared even better by saying that the Cuban catcher on your card would make the Highlander Sweeney card of the T206 look like a 52 Topps by comarisons.

Do not lose the Diminutive One, it's fast and shifty, and light on it's feet.
If you ever should get tired of it, let me know.

Stay well, and always remember, it's always a good Vintage year.

Joe P.

I remember when I won a Baguer chocolate Al Lopez from Henry Yee a year or so ago. Had never seen one, and was very disappointed when it arrived and I still could hardly see one--too damn small to enjoy, IMHO.

"They're Real, and They Are Spectacular."

Sorry folks, couldn't resist that great line from one of my favorite shows.

Runscott, you're welcome.
Now, ..... about that microscopic card.

Perhaps these were cabinet cards collected by Cuban GI Joe dolls?

Finding a frame for this thing is going to be a bitch.

The following card is almost the exact width of a dime.

You can put the whole set in one toploader and have your favorite numerologist grader put a number on it.

Those cards are extremely rare. There are 100 cards total in the set. 83 are amateurs, 17 pros.

According to my calculations it would take 7 top-loaders to encase the entire set.

Do you think SGC would grade these?

Peter Thomas I've been meaning to answer the above.
You are right, by all measures of greatness, they were not small. ..... like a Mallorquina.

Just another typical art lover.

If not, there's always PRO.

7 top- loaders, now that's what I call a bargain.

For a checklist check out Ryans site http://www.cubanbaseballcards.com, its the nicest for the tougher early Cuban cards. Frank
