Default Mantle

Nelson-- will post some of mine later but there are one or more past threads in here with a plethora of Mantles. I think I have all of his Topps issues but for the 61 Dice, and we are fortunate to have 2 members here who have that one as well

I will try to post some of mine later. I have 229 different cards and am still looking for a handful of others. Welcome to the post-war side!

Roll call!
I too went in heavy with Mickey Mantle..i met my bud here BestDj777 and we hooked up and enjoy our conversations..(well least i do).
I tried and collected the main cards on the registrey and added some rare odditiies such a post cereal, oklahoma today, and tatoos and stickers and ruboffs and so on..and some nice postcards and exhibits.
I have a wide variety, some in low grade and some in mid grade.

Larry, that is one spectacular Mantle card - WOW!

This Mantle pales in comparison, but it is a tough one. I'm not wedded to it - it's not for sale, but I would trade it for Walter Johnson cards and/or Sam Rice rookie cards I need.

Default Mantles

Nice cards everyone. Love the Briggs Meat. Below are a few of my favorite cards. Was fortunate enough to pick up the Exhibit Portrait from Chris. Glad you let me have that one buddy and always enjoy the conversations.

It is Mickey Mantle, so it's certainly a possibility...
Best part is, that's my baseball he's signing there, and I still have it. Autograph tickets were $10 each. It was 1988, and I was 10. One of the neatest memories of my life.

Love the printing error Ted. The only one I have seen with that color.

Here are a few more oddballs that have not been shown in the thread yet:

Chris

I acquired that 1969 TOPPS (blue) Mantle 26 years ago. I've looked for another one ever since.......and, have not seen one.

I love your 1954 Sports Illustrated (2nd issue) Yankees insert sheet.

And, what Yankee is missing on that sheet ?

I am very glad there are not more out there or I would have to get one for my set. I looked a bit the first time I saw you post this card but with no luck. Thanks regarding the Sports Illustrated issue. I did not know it existed until a few months ago but love the piece. No clue who is missing though. Who'd they leave out?

No, I bought it as part of a raw 1957 set in 1988. The Koufax graded out at 8 as well.

edit to add: Al, now I'm smiling bc I just saw the other thread. Thanks for the laugh!

These are actually some of the Mantle cards I have for trade, but i figured I'd show them here anyway. The booklet is from Carvel sometime during the 70's.
