ok, guess it's time to fire this up again. And Julie, no, I haven't got the sets listed yet. Been way too busy lately, but I will eventually get it updated.

Here is a link to the site so you can see the cards that have already made it. <a href="http://webpages.charter.net/sabrjay/cardhof.html</a" target=_new>http://webpages.charter.net/sabrjay/cardhof.html </a>

Carryovers from the previous nomination:

19th century:
n172 Ewing/mascot
n162 Kelley
n162 Anson

t-cards:
t227 Cobb
t206 Leifield
t202 Cobb/Jennings
t207 Bushelman
t206 Johnson portrait

e-cards:
e96 Brown
e94 Cicotte (violet)
e93 Cobb

misc:
33 Goudey Richards
Tip Top Wagner
Delong Gehrig
33 Goudey Gehringer

Feel free to nominate other cards. You don't have to nominate a card for each catagory. I'll let this run and until after New Years. Then we will hold a formal vote.

Given all of the conversation I started on another thread, I would be remiss if I did not nominate these one-of-a-kind cards:

1893 "Just So" Tobacco CY YOUNG

1897 Reccius Cigars HONUS WAGNER

Like the T227 Cobb and the N162 Kell, and the E96 Brown shows his hand well.
I don't see any point in nominating a one-of-a-kind card of my own; if no others survived to enjoy (or were ever printed), then others can't have developed a preference for them. Except maybe 4BH Kelly, and he's in...and there are three (I think). --a doctor's bag? (What is this, "Field of Dreams"?)

For the E cards, I'd like to nominate the E94 violet Old Cy Young.

Following Hal's lead, I'll nominate a one-of-a-kind card of my own for the miscellaneous category: 1904 Allegheny Frank Selee.

If you can post scans of the cards, that would be great.

I want to nominate:
K-Bats Harry Wright, 1914 CJ Shoeless Joe, N172 Ewing/Mascott and T202 Evers/Tinker/Chance (although I personally prefer the already nominated Cobb-Jennings).
I have yet learn how to successfully post a image so I can't help there. These cards aren't exactly one of a kind so maybe people know what I'm talking about anyway. Also, I'm certain there are better looking ones than the ones I have anyway -- especially the Jackson, mine is not an SGC 98!

I just realized that's what this is!

N; N162 Kelly--beautifuL card, and everybody wants one!
T: T227 Cobb, bigger than life, and kinda mean looking, also about to bunt.
E: E96 Brown, fierce looking, and shows his injured hand (most cards hide it)
Misc. Tip Top Wagner. Great colors, and that T206 portrait pose (which few of us will ever have)

Also consider: T222 Alexander, T206 Cobb green background--or Cobb, red background, while we're at it; N172 Radbourn Portrait; N172 Kelly dark shirt, Chicago; '33 Goudey #181 Ruth--the way he really looked. Fan Craze Hanlon and Lajoie (TWO OF THE LESS FAMILIAR ONES)

(can'r resist that Kelly)

Julie's Radbourn portrait has always been one of my favorites. But I think I once saw a Gypsy Queen Radbourn portrait. Now, THAT'S one hell of a card!

No.... THIS would be self-serving:

I thought I was being GENEROUS by originally nominating the "Just So" Cy Young card INSTEAD of my E107!

The T204 Bancroft and N167 Ewing look pretty nice to be graded "Good". Am I missing something, or do they have back damage?

The Ewing has "stripes" on the back from where it was stuck in an album...

but there is no paper loss and you can read all of the writing.

Basically a "non-factor" to anyone who wants the card... but technically something that the grading companies punish.

The T204 Square framed Bancroft has a minor back pull to it's blank back...This is probably one of the main reasons I would like an "authentic" grade. Then if there is an alteration maybe it would be "authentic-trimmed" or "authentic-recolored" etc....but that's another thread.....one of the best looking 30's I have seen and fairly high grade for the series (Square frames)...regards

The N167 is WAY undergraded. In person, it looks more like a 5 or a 6. It doesn't have back "damage". However, it was in scrap book with sticky pages at one time, so there is some minor staining on the back.

but I don't think they're as pretty as the regular Ramlys), the Zeenut McCredie (if that doesn't count as an an E card?)...and how about the present background E145 Mathewson, 1914?
