The people that had the yard sale had told their daughter she couldn't have it when it first came out, she bought it anyway, so they took it from her. It was never opened. It's got to be worth a fortune today, but not worth the fun of having given my best friend the coolest item he owns (in his eyes).

If it's the one I am thinking of I believe it was John Lennon's personal copy.

Great stuff guys. Aaron, quite the steal on the T206 Hartsel proof- I was the underbidder, and on an airplane all day (literally) to Hong Kong last Sunday, so I missed the auction close...Why do we think this Hartsel went so low? the two type 1's (without name) went strong as expected, and so did the other type 2 (with name)...but why did Hartsel remain so low? I'd like to hear some opinions on this, as last auction there were some type 2's that went for around $8400. Either way, congrats.

These two bids held up for me...

Thanks, I absolutely love it. I have no idea why it went for so much less than the others and was planning on calling Brian (Dwyer) in a couple weeks to ask, once their post auction frenzy quiets a little.
