Stick to the subject (buying, selling and trading) and make sure your e-mail address is either available by clicking on your post-name, or is contained in the body of your post( this way, answers to querries can me made through e-mail, and not take up space here.

There are no guarentees as to the honesty or intelligence of anyone posting here. As with ebay, know who you are dealing with.

Wants:

29 T202s: both "Devlins" w. Devlin w. Rustlers,
Cobbs: A Desperate Slide, Good Play at Third, Ty Cobb Steals (Cobb--Moriarty).

Evers Makes a Safe slide (Tinker-Chance)

Chase Guarding First (both)
Too Late for Devlin (Marquard)

2 common Scrapps! One of which is White, and I can't remember the other. (Almost there!)

The tough 19th c. HOFers: Cartwright, Robinbson, McPhee. Also (for some reason ) McCarthy.

1947 Homoginized Bond Bread Jackie Robinsons--need 8.

Julie,

As I am sure you know, there are several McCarthy cards up on eBay right now. As the Spartan women said when their husbands marched off to war, "come back with your shield or on it." Go forth and conquer!!!

First of all, If I could remember Elliott's disclaimer I would put it in. But I know it went something to the effect of anyone posting here is not sanctioned or affliated with anyone tied to the board and all transactions are at your own risk. (Without permission of Major League Baseball) . I always wanted to say that.

For Sale:

T202 Ty Cobb Steals Third, Austin/Stovall. Psa 4. $450. I will send scan if requested.

I also have a T205 Cy Young SGC 60 that I am seriosly thinking about selling if the price is right. Another option is trading it for T206 Cy Young cards since I have none. Scan is also available upon request.

Want List:

Pete Wood Old Judge variations. I have 3 different and looking for more.

If anyone is not sure who I am my ebay name is bowlingshoegiverouterguy.

Lee

Going forward, in the interests of fairness, it has been suggested to me that the "lead off" position on the B/S/T should rotate a bit, so that there isn't a mad rush to post at 12:01. I think that's a reasonable idea, so going forward, let's have it so that a person can only "lead off" once in any one year period.

Elliot

I will be updating my website with my purchases from sportsfest later today. They include:

1919 White Sox v. Yankees program with George Halas playing for the Yankees.

Original 1904 World Series (I think) action photo at Shibe Park.

Lots of Graded 19th century including a Yum Yum and an SF Hess card.

I am always looking to purchase PCL cards of Roy Castleton, and skinned Old Judge cards, or N172s with back damage as long as the fronts are ok.

Thanks

Might as well join the fray:

I need many in all the sets listed above. Prefer ungraded (but authentic) middle to lower middle condition.

Also: I need one 1911 Obak for the set, namely Flame Delhi. Anyone who's got one let me know. I'd buy or be happy to trade you a 1910 Obak in comparable condition.

Tim

I'm trying to complete a set of T222's and would greatly appreciate help with any of the following:

Barry, Baumgardner, Benton, Burns, Chance, Hamilton, Henry, Huggins, Jennings, Johnson, Lelivelt, Lobert, L. Magee, S. Magee, Orr, Phelan, Sallee, Sweeney, Tyler.

I have never seen Baumgardner, Hamilton, Henry or the 2 Magees - if you can provide scans of any or all, I'd like to add them to my Fatima gallery at http://www.t207.com/images/t222/index.html. Thanks.

Bill

Firstly, each month I shamelessly post a link to my eBay auctions http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=drcycleback&sort=3&rows=200&page=1&since=-1&rd=1

Secondly, I am on the lookout for high end oversized (larger than 8x10 inches) private studio photographs of 1920s-40s movie stars, particularly Greta Garbo, Rudolph Valentino and Bela Lugosi. While I'm aware that probably no one here collects that type of stuff, if you ever come across something, in sale or auction. give me a jingle. I'd just as assume pay straight money for the photos, but am not against trading old sports stuff for it if neccesary.

Thank you

I was just hanging around the Forum, and realized it was July 1 in NYC, even though it was only 9:15 here.
Sorry; I won't lead off again. By the way, whoever added the extraneous information, extraneous because i already contributed it, did you just assume I'd be too stupid to do it?

'Re-establishing My eMail Sales List'

I don't know if this is the appropriate place to post this and, if not, excuse my brazeness .... I had a longrunning email newsletter which was coupled or alternated with a memorabilia sales list. The newsletter itself disolved, but am working to re-establish the sales part. In the olden days, many auctions and sales were done straight through the email.

I will be resuming (once a month only) my email list of sport and non-sport memorabilia for sale. Suffice to say that I offer a selection of out of the ordinary and often one-of-a-kind items, in a wide price range, and everything comes with a lifetime guarantee of authenticity. I'm not a full time dealer or anything and don't use the profits to pay the morgage on my home and put my kids through private school, meaning the prices are reasonable/fair. If you are interested you can email (linked above). Thx.

I am new to the site and I am interested in low grade older star cards like:

Goudeys

I cannot afford to buy them in good grades but I can maybe afford them in Poor-Fair condition ?

Hi all,

I wanted to let everyone on the board know that I've put a decent condition circa 1890's silk baseball prize/presentation ribbon, that I brought up in a previous thread, up for auction on ebay. I'm sure most of you will be saving your allowance for the National, but for anyone interested in an item like this or for anyone who's staying home, I just wanted to let you know that it is available for bidding. There is a reasonable reserve on it. the link is below.

Thanks,
Adam

Looking to buy/trade for t205's in lower grades, especially Young and Cobb, but would be interested in groups of commons as well. Please email me with what you have. Thanks!

price: $350

1) T3 Collins. Very clean, corner wear, one deep crease across a (fairly large) corner of picture, does not break surface--it's all in the sky. Color and register are excellent. "ex" corner wear.Back is nice vampire lady ad--you noticed her teeth, didn't you?

price: $300
2) T3 Collins. Back had some coffee or so spilled on it--not all over, but 2-3 sq inches worth of spill. Mild corner wear. No creases, color and register excellent, but very slight case of "card ick" (spots of transparent mold)in the crowd in the stands. Again, back is nice vampire lady ad.

Both cards are centered perfectly. Don't laugh--you should see my Speaker!

Front and back scans of both cards available.

hello all...
I have 3 amazing B18 blankets for sale.
I bought them as part of a large Ty Cobb collection. These blankets are some of the nicest ones I have ever seen. GAI was going to start grading them but found because you can not tell if the edges were hand cut it would not be wise do do so. They will slab them and say that the blankets are authentic.

1 is the Ty Cobb white infield it is a solid nm to nm+
2 Ty Cobb brown infield similar to the one there was a thread about a few weeks ago. This one is nicer than the one that was being offered on e-bay and probably the nicest B18 I have ever seen nm+ to nm-mt

3 Joe Jackson with the purple pennants. This is a tough varation. This is the weakest of the 3 it is about ex-mt+ -nm because of some light toning in the center.
if you are interested in any of these and would like a scan please e-mail me and I would be happy to discuss...
