Thanks, Phil. Yea, I love this card. I can't believe I own it, and it's the only card in my collection that I consider irreplaceable. It's currently in a good home (in a climate controlled safety deposit box ).

Default Favorites

19th Century favorite....tough decision, so here are both of them

[linked image]

Two early 20th Century favorites

1904 Eastern League Champions....the year there was no World Series in Major League Baseball

[linked image]

One of the toughest of the 27 white-bordered red Cobb's

[linked image][linked image]

I had to include these two favorites simply because their cards represent a year in which their records may never be broken
[linked image]

Post WWII favorite

1949 LEAF......NOT 1948 !
[linked image]

Last but not least....after all, I only paid a penny for my Mantle in the Fall of 1952

[linked image]

Please excuse the multiple "favorites" .... but, I find it hard to believe that anyone can just select a single "favorite" card from their collection

Default I'd like you to pick my best card!

This is from 1980....... my favorite's the Aaron Rookie! The 3 T206 Cobbs are Sweet Cap, Piedmont and Polar Bear. There's an 1888 Boston schedule, too!
Regards,
Bill Hedin

Love the Hindu's. Just posted this on another thread but it is arguably my favorite/best cards so might as well post here too:

Being a Negro League kind of guy, I'll go with these, although the decision was hard.

Tough choice for me as well. So I would have to go with my two favorite pre-war and two favorite from the 1950s. I picked up the Aaron and Clemente in the past 2 months. Growing up they were my favorite players so it was a thrill to finally add them to my collection. I have always loved the appearance of the Mathewson and Clarke cards.

Default Favorite Card

Not my best, but easily my favorite... and the one that would be most difficult to part with! T202 Cobb seperated side panel... Wanted a Cobb in the worst way, but was collecting on an extremely tight budget at the time..

One of my favorites and I got lucky - no one bid on it - Greg Manning Auction at the National in 1994.

Default Jersey City

Ticking this card of my Jersey City prewar wantlist was priceless for me.

Considering the rarity of Red Cross cards, finding one specific common from the set seemed impossible to me. Then one showed up that I could afford and I jumped on it.

Thanks,

AndyH

Total is around 7" by 7", it's in my safety deposit box, so can't go grab it to verify.

I'm on the low end of the spectrum here, and have shown this quite a few times, but I think this is one of the best ones I have at the moment.

I put this in the October pickups too, but it's my best prewar card.
