Phil - did you win anything? Who won the Tim Keefe Cabinet?

Nope, I'm broke, could not even place a bid during the extended bidding session. I think the Keefe went for a fair price not too crazy but not cheap at all either. Same with the 1877 Cincinnati card given the condition. I think that the Harry/Sam Wright CDV was the best bargain of the whole auction, wish I had some money to go after that one.......

The 1870 Boston Athletics CDV went for a nice price but I think the hauls of shame article had something to do with it.

those e107s went cheap, most all of 'em if you ask me...the rest will be sold over the next 5-6 auctions in the next couple of years - Im wondering if this will kill the e107 prices overall as some of these "highest graded" went for psa 1 prices. Id love to score a HOFer before its all over.

That's what I was thinking - never thought I could get a 'best condition' example for $1200. I'm not a type collector, but thought I'd be ready in case I changed my mind.

It could be rough for E107's the next couple of years, but gradually supply will dry up and then they will be off again once more. I think we're seeing a similar dynamic with the OJ's from the Dreier Collection.

Got the SGC 40 Old Judge Anson and the PSA 8 (o/c) Old Judge Welch. Not the G&B O'Rourke that I stupidly bailed out on at $4500, but OK cards.

Kenny, I'm in 'sell' mode, but these last two nights were not to be passed up - a LOT of bargains. I elected to totally ignore the photos and concentrate on E107s, but the Welch was high on my radar. It was slightly different from the VCP pic, but that not withstanding, it was a very nice photograph. People forget that Old Judges are legitimate albumen photos - you can forget about the card and look at image clarity, and this one was extra nice.

Although, his defensive 'crossed arms' pose was kind of a turn-off. JK

I liked the Welsh, how can you argue with $1500 for a high grade Welch with a decent image? Even if you didn't get the O'Rourke, at least you stayed true to your OJ HOF focus. Congrats.

Default Legendary Lot #172 - Five R304s of Wash. Senators

If a Board member won this lot of five 1934 Al Demaree Wash. Senators die cuts and is not interested in keeping the Ossie Bluege card, I'm your buyer (or will trade for it).

I'm sorry - after my T206 post a moment ago, it probably looked like I was picking on you, so I came back here to make up.

The Collins silk reminds me of his 'batting' proof for the T206 set. Too bad they didn't go forward with that card

Only picked up one item, but I really like it:

Scott- That was the card I chased, I really liked it but gave up at the end because I don't collect E107s. Congrats!

If the winner of the Legendary lot of 30 sepia HOF postcards would be willing to part with the Chadwick, I would be willing to pay $100 for it. My e-mail address is: vguerrerobb@yahoo.com
