Met Pudge while skiing in Breckinridge in February of 1999. Great guy.

Easily one of my favorite players of all time......congrats to Pudge!

Jay Cee, what's that Tim Raines card? I didn't realize he had any minor league cards. Does it have much value?

Hey Paul,

Raines was selected by the Expos in the fifth round of the 1977 MLB Draft and he spent three season in the minors before his major league debut in 1979. Although Raines wouldn't have a major league card until 1981 Topps, he was included in a minor league set issued by TCMA. Raines is featured as a member of the Memphis Chicks, which was the Expos AA-team, where he batted .290 with 59 stolen bases over 145 games. There were only 1500 sets made and all 24 cards were hand placed in a baggie and distributed at the stadium.

As far as value, they are all across the board for what they fetch. Having a team set to go along with it should bring more money. I will say it's a very affordable yet rare card (set) to obtain until the word gets out. 😉

It looks like the TCMA Raines is a minimum of $100 on ebay since his election, though the complete set sold for $60 on July 1st.
