Default eBay's New Return Policy - Are They Kidding?

I was just reading eBay's new fee incentives. Starting June 1, top-rated sellers will earn a 20% discount on final value fees on listings that include these two services: a one-day or same-day order handling time, and a 14-day or longer return policy with a money-back option.

14 day or longer return policy?

Won't that give some buyers a chance to try and resell the card. If they don't sell it for more than they paid for it, they can simply cancel the transaction and return it to the original seller.

Why would a buyer need 14 days to decide whether they want to keep the card or not? I think that 3 days would be more than enough time.

Just my thoughts.

I couldn't agree more. If you're ebay though, I can see how this would encourage buying as well. Hell, buyers can now max out their cc and pp limits, get the cards, see which cards flip and just return the rest. More and more the hobby feels like understanding angles than collecting cards... Of course you can ignore the incentives and walk down your own path!

Your thought would be exactly correct if you substituted "ebay" for "the hobby"
