Default Player checklists

Posted By: Mrc32

Does anyone know how I can find out all the cards made of a certain player?

I'm looking for a list of all the different cards produced (Pre-War) of a player named Wilber Good(e)?

He played from 1905-1918.

So far I know that the following cards exist:
1909-1911 T-205
1909-1911 T-206
1916 M-101-4 Sporting News

In 1913 he was on the Cubs. Does anyone know if he was on the T200 Fatima Team Cards?

Did he have a BF-2 Pennant?

Thanks

Good or Good(e) cards, etc., in addition to those you mentioned, also in: M101-5, 1909-16 Max Stein postcards, T5 Pinkerton cabinets and 1923 Baltimore Shirt Co. K.C. Blues foldout. Good luck!

There's a very nice book entitled The American Premium Guide to Baseball Cards, by Ron Erbe, published in about 1981 or 1982. If you're lucky, you'll find it on a used book internet site. It includes an alphabetical list of players, with most of the known cards of the player (and their 1981-82 values) listed below the player's name. There are also some interesting pictures of unusual cards, some of which didn't make it into the checklist. For Wilbur David "Lefty" Good, the book lists D329, D350, T205, and T206. (I believe D329 and D350 are the equivalent of M-101-4 and maybe E-135 Collins McCarthy). Sounds like the SCD book has picked up a few that weren't listed back in 1982.

That book was my primary source for building my database of player cards, but you need to be careful becuase they don't list every card set. As you mentioned if there are multiple sets that use the same front, they will only list one set and you need to go back into the book asn see what other sets they list along with it. Almsot always, the players list in the back list some hard to find set, like Weil Baking, instead the more common version of the same front.
