Evidently it was short printed and just about the only way you can get one is to buy a complete set on ebay.

It was not "short-printed", there are several controversial articles in it by publisher Dennis Purdy
regarding Card Restoration, Dealer and Auction Survey, and a critical article on the Card Grading
Industry.
And apparently, many copies of this issue (July/Aug. 1996) were bought up so that these stories
would not get into wide circulation.

In any event, I do have one copy of Iss. #7 left.....so, FYS you can email me at.....

Dan: I think the "complete" sets on ebay always were without #7.

I got my #7 when it was issued.

Who picked up the issues on #7 ? I have them all. I keep hearing how tough 7 is. Just curious who forked out the dough...

about issue #10 - was that the one with the article on 1949 Bowman PCL? If you have a copy of that to sell, I would be interested...or if not, perhaps I could request a xerox copy?
please let me know when you have a chance
Thx,
Jason

Yes, issue #10 has this article by Mark Macrae and I.

I don't know if I have any extra copies....if I don't and you cannot find one, I will
certainly make copies for you.

If you don't find one, email me at.....ccooney @princeton.edu

If you search for VCBC #7 on this board, there's a link to the article that one can read.

I do not have extra copies of VCBC, Issue #10.

I will provide you copies of my 1949 Bowman PCL article, if you contact me.

Article from VCBC#7.

http://www.network54.com/Forum/153652/message/1097533534/

It really doesn't seem that controversial to me. The Wagner is briefly called into question and the guy tries to draw the distinction between "removal" and "restoration".

The article on Card Restoration in this issue was not the problem......

It was the article on the Card Grading Industry that caused the controversy.
