Default 1860s Early baseball photo....

Thoughts on this one?.....I have some fairly strong ones but want to see what some others might think.............sort of helping the seller here.

The team is from from later than the 1860s. They didn't have fielding gloves in the 1860s.

Ft Riley is in Kansas, which wasn't part of the Nebraska territory. The onorganized territory was made into Kansas and Nebraska territories in 1854. And Kansas became a state in 1861.

The print peeking out from behind the photo makes me think it's stuck onto the back of a cutdown stereo card.

Of course just judging from the scans. Seems like a modern repro photo stuck to some other type of "card" cabinet or stereoview as mentioned. Around the borders you can see the hints of another image. Also the photo is incredibly crisp....don't know if that means anything but even the background is in focus. Just my 2cents (how come there's no cent symbol on my keyboard??)

The image is obviously not 1860s and probably closer to 1880. The mount and the photo don't seem to go together. Too much photo, not enough mount.

I was pretty excited at first glance but then started noticing things that I didn't like. The glove, the catchers mask, the rounded corners on the photo and the graininess. The photo couldn't be any earlier than mid 1880's due to the glove and mask. I also am very leery of it being an actual photograph or an original photo.
