Default Polo Grounds Snapshot

Hi-
I recently acquired the snapshot scanned below. I scanned it first with 200 DPI, and the second scan is at 600DPI.
Thanks to quick responses, it is fairly obvious this is not what I thought it was so I changed the title but kept my original post below. Now, does anyone have any ideas on the ceremony? I will do some research based on the information from the two members below, but I figured I would also ask in case anyone can identify the ceremony.

I believe the right side of the photo shows Ruth in his white suit looking at Gehrig (there is a man in a different color suit between them holding a microphone). Is this wishful thinking on my part? If so, any idea what this picture is from? I scanned the back below as well. I really appreciate any help you can provide. I am sorry for the large scans, but I figured it was the best way to capture the detail.
Thanks,
Alan Elefson

Unfortunately, I think it is wishful thinking. The Yankees wore pinstripes that day and none of the players pictured appear to be in these uniforms.

It doesn't appear to be from 1939 as, if it was, I would expect to see the centennial patch on the sleeve of some of the uniforms.

Intriguing image though.

Also, and I could be very mistaken on this, but I think this photo may have been taken at the Polo Grounds rather than Yankee Stadium.

No worries, and thank you for the help! I did not even consider the uniforms in the images I looked at online. I really just looked for what Ruth was wearing to see if it was similar to my photo. For the price I paid (less than 100 for this along with a nice OJ, so I consider the photo basically free), it does not bother me

Thanks,
Alan

I would say the group at to the right side of the photo consists of Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Giants players ca. 1933 to 1934 (judging by the socks). Looks like other teams may be represented in the group to the left side of the photo?

Polite corrections for unidentified and misidentified photos appreciated. Rude corrections also appreciated, but less so.

Thank you Lance! I will have to look over photos of those teams to see if I can identify any players on my photo (doubtful). I will also check opening day or any other type of ceremonies at the Polo Grounds to see if I can find more information. I really appreciate all of the help!
