first off .. THIS IS NOT a thread about Marshall, nor is it an opinion about his posts. after reading many things over the years with many people looking to start controversy i have to wonder... does it really lie with the 54 members? Leon has a no win job, i do not know what motivates him to spend countless hours reading alot of dribble and baby sitting,,, but thats his choice.

i think things would not blow out of such control if 54 members just didnt respond to stupid things. if no one really responded to some of marshalls posts than they would go away, and quickly at that.

i am not talking about personal attacks, but would there be personal attacks if people didnt make one in the first place?

two things i do know for sure on this board... 1) incredible knowledge 2) no way would the majority of these things be written if they werent hiding behind a computer.

i love this forum, i hope we all learn to not throw gas on the fire sometimes.

I think your 100 % correct, but its just the nature of the board/blog... guys mindlessly ( sometimes half-drunkenly) just typing dribble..and then others responding.. something strikes a cord with one guy..and its off to the races..post after post...many lonely people ..some with no real life... some baseball card junkies, others who just enjoy stirring things up in a harmless way. its a cross section of - guys who are well off money wise, some who pretend to be, then there is the group who you see at a card show... over weight..balding.. sloppy Yankee T shirt .. trailed by the wife..dirty 1.99 flip flops..straggly hair...smoker..watches proudly as the guy spends $50 on cardboard junk. Its all of us ,one happy disfuctional baseball card "family".
