Default T206 question

I have been trying to locate this card for a couple years. It's a common with a 2nd tier back, it shouldn't be hard to find ?????

My research shows that it is a confirmed card (T206Resourse.com), meaning that it does exists ?

Does anyone have one to show me???

PSA has graded 3 of them with Old Mill backs. A 7, a 2, and a 2.5. But those 3 are out of the 365 Joe Lake (NY) cards graded by PSA.

That's actually considered to be a "tough" Old Mill.

Some cards in the 150-350 series are almost impossible to find with an Old Mill back, and I assume Lake NY is probably one of them. Luke Lyons ("Luke" on here) collects them and would know more about it.

+1 I've been looking for a Merkle/ Old Mill since 2013. I've only come across one in that time, and I didn't get it.

+2 - I've seen a scan of PSA 2 OM Walter Johnson portrait that sold in 2006, but haven't seen another since. I'm guessing if one ever comes to market, it will command quite a premium... It was the only card left that I needed for my back run

I'm looking for that same Johnson OM. You're right it's not going to be cheap.

Yeah, Lake is one of the toughest. I still need one, and we're probably not the only ones.

Oops, I was wrong. It sold in 2012 for $633!!! Take me back to that day!
Although, $600 for a PSA 2 Wajo portrait back then was crazy thinking. I bet this one resides in the collection of David Hall (I think that's his name, the guy who is going after all the backs). The one right below it is the same card, which sold for $330 in 2009.

Hi Tony, and yes, you have the name right: David Hall. I have no idea whether he got that Johnson/ Old Mill, but I'm pretty sure that I've lost four cards that I wanted to him (one of which I later found). I'm just glad that I began my Merkle back run before he began his project.
