Just got in a big lot of minor league photos of the Canadian American League Gloversville-Johnstown ball club. Unfortunately none of the photos are identified.

There are 36 snapshots in all if anyone wants to check them out they are on page 2 and 3 of my minor league photos collection.

Nice photos. Like i have said i dont know if you seen it but i only live 10 minutes from Gloversville and Johnstown. My dad and i are still trying to figure out where the old Ken-wel factory was. We are also trying to find those Peach glove signs that sell for 40K+. Again very nice photos.

Brock, believe it or not the lady who owned these photos is 99 years old and lives in Gloversville. She actually worked at the Peach glove factory stuffing mitts. I bought some Yankee photos from her daughter a few months ago and when I realized she lived in Gloversville I asked her if she has anything from the company and she doesn't. I told her to be on the lookout as anything from that company is rare.

This is the gal who took these photos (Sister to the 99 year old mentioned above). She had a thing for ballplayers, but she never got married.

Dan,

Thanks for posting. I went to elementary and high school in Johnstown NY. Also, I was the co-founder of the Fulton-Montgomery Sports Historical Society. (Johnstown and Gloversville are both in Fulton County).

Perhaps one of the most notable players ever to play for the Glovers was Jack McKeon who caught for them in 1950.

Jon, by chance do you have a team photo of the 1939 team that I can use to identify these guys?

With all of the old gloves/mitts that turn up (on ebay and elsewhere) how come you NEVER see Peach Brand Gloves. Almost hard to believe they really existed...

Does anyone on the forum own / have access to a Peach Glove, for which they could post a picture? I would love to see some images, if so... Thanks!

Wow... ask and yee shall receive! That was fast. Thanks so much for posting, Dan!

A very cool glove (and ad). I wonder what one of these(in nice condition) would sell for on ebay or otherwise...
