Default Yet another T206 thread

I recently picked up a T206 Sovereign 460. This card was considerably cheaper than a Brown Hindu. However, several websites that list T206 backs in order of scarcity note that Sov 460's are in the same neighborhood as Hindu backs and Piedmont Factory 42.

My question is this. Why are Sov 460's available at a much lower price?

Best regards,

Eric

With the exception of the 6 "Super Prints" and a few others, most of the Sovereign 460s to me appear to be readily available. Maybe the fact that these 6 are so tough has made the rest of the Sov 460s seem tougher then they really are? In my opinion, just to name a few, the Cycles, Sov 150s, and the American Beauty 350 with frame are all tougher. Ted can probably shine more light and fill us in.

Hey Eric,
The experts will weigh in a little later, but from the information I have, that is not the case.

Of the three backs you mentioned, Hindu has a factor of between 4 and 14 times Piedmont common. Pied 460/42 is 6 to 8 times the common and Sov 460 is around 2.5 times the common.

Hindu backs are more exciting to t206 collectors I believe...as compared to just a series difference of a sovereign back which as a whole are more common than hindu.
