Default My N162 Goodwin Champions Cap Anson

I've been wanting to work this one for a while, so I slowly chipped away at it over the past few months. Pieces like this get me back to the foundation of why I do this anyway - to trade the junk era commons for dream cards. It measures approximately 17"x27", and over 1,200 late 80's/early 90's commons were used as the medium.

Default Wow!

Somewhere in the middle there is a 1991 Fleer Wade Boggs which I need for my set. Would you consider peeling him off to help out?

Just messing!

INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing.

Peace, Mike

Great work Tim as usual. I was showing a few people your site the other day. The Hershey Kiss Lucy was a hit.

Hi Tom...the eyes are the last thing I do. I told a neighbor that I believe they are the soul to the piece. The eyes make them come to life. Just like the rest of the piece, they are completely built up. I start with the eyeball (please excuse my lack of medical terminology), then add the pupil. The eyelids are built on and around the eye, then the highlight sets it off. 100% cut cards.

Phenomenal, well executed. I find some irony in that the racially intolerant Cap Anson looks his best when made from all skin colors.

Default Amazing

Flawless attention to detail. How many hours does it take to create such a masterpiece? You, sir, are a true artist

YES! This. It was a major topic of discussion among some of my close friends during the creation process. Extremely ironic.

Thank you! Most pieces are around 45-50 hours, but this one took a bit more. I didn't keep track, but I would have to guess that above 65+ working hours were spent on Cap.

Tim
