A lot of acquiring going on this month.....I'll start with some of the cards I acquired at the Philly Show in Reading a week ago.

T206 Ball and J. Collins to get me within 1 card of completing my Sovereign set....and, Frank Delehanty as an upgrade.

Another Broad Leaf 350 card to add to my sub-set of these.....have 15 of them, now.

And, finally picked-up 1949 LEAF....Larry Doby and Al Zarilla....to upgrade my complete set.

Having personally seen Joe's/yours colorless T206 Chase, It goes without saying, it is one "cool" T206. Hey,
approx 80 collectors across the country own T206 Wagner's....a few more than that own Plank's. And, 1/2
a dozen own that crazy Joe Doyle card. And, perhaps a dozen Ty Cobb/Ty Cobb cards. But, your strange
looking T206 Chase is UNIQUE.

OK, since I am a T206 "junkie" and to boot, a Chase (he never booted a grounder) collector I'll be generous
enough to offer you my Blue Chase Broad Leaf, Pink Chase's, White & Dark Cap Chase's, and Trophy Chase's
with all their various T-brand backs. And, to sweeten up the mix, I will throw in whatever odd ball Chase card
I have for this newly acquired Chase of yours.

No hurry though, I am sure you will be enjoying it for quite sometime......but, when the novelty wears off,
consider my offer......HA !

Ted-

Although the white Chase mentioned in this thread, as well as the other pickup thread, is certainly a rare anomaly, it is most certainly not unique. Developing an exact population on such a card is impossible but I can say with 100 percent certainty that another T206 Chase exists with an all white background. Here is an image of the card:

As you can tell, this example is certainly not in as good of shape as the example traded between Joe D. and Jeff L. This card suffers from a heavy crease through the top of Chase’s head and is slightly off-white.

You can recover your Chase by chasing down the card Zach came up with. And, for a lot less than you
paid for your 1st one. And, with all the big $$$$$ left, that Jeff paid you, you can recover those 200+
T206 Polar Bear's that you sold some time ago.

There isn't a greater feeling in this hobby than recovering cards you parted with years ago......that at
times you wished you hadn't.

Zach.....thanks for digging up the 2nd "white" Chase.....and, can I ask where did you find it ?

Jeff.....Since your Chase is not as "unique" as I first thought, I'm sorry to say the Broad Leaf
Blue Chase has been withdrawn from the offer.....HA !

Enjoy it, guy.....you have to be the ultimate Chase collector.....you certainly have me beat.

I'd like to thank Dan Bretta for this Duff Cooley postcard. I've been looking for a Cooley card for about 10 years now. His cards are almost impossible. I think he's only in the E107s, Alleghenys, and the W600 Sporting Life cabinets.

TBob - Dave's E94 Chance came from Ebay.

on other cards. Nice card Dave!!

Thanks TBob and Tony for the compliments. Yes, it was from ebay..and I could have sworn TBob you at least had an initial bid in on it yourself...because I remember thinking uh oh...I won't get it...unless i'm getting confused with another one...

Nothing too exciting. Just some P-G commons aquired in a trade with Bob D. Combined with some other recent pickups, I am up to 79 T206's. Less than 450 more to go, woohoo!!!

Yes, Jim it does. Sorry for the atrocious scan.

And Joe I'd give up my spot for Jim's Matty once he decides that his earthly possessions are not appropriate baggage for his spiritual journey. What I mean to say, is that I want his E93 Brown instead!

Dave,

Nice Chance - though Im amazed it rec'd a 40. Ive never seen sgc give anything higher than a 30 to a card with that much visible paperloss on the reverse (and I recognize that "that much" is a very small amount).

Jeff,

Nice e93 Donovan - I thought about bidding on that one but decided to stick with my SGC 10 with a nm front and moderate paperloss on the reverse. I picked up this one instead (an upgrade from my 40):

(500) Letters from the estate of Robert G. "Bob" Allen dating from 1888-91. About 250 are love letters sent to him by his girlfriend while he was with the 1890-91 Phillies and about 250 are letters and telegrams from ballclubs and managers and players, several of whome are in the Old Judge set. Easily the most exciting collection I have ever purchased.

for your kind words.

I will cross it to PSA or SGC at some point.

In person - it is a strong 6 and maybe even a 7.... but I don't have the guts to crack it out and submit it... so I am guessing it would only come back a 6 on a crossover. Do they (PSA or SGC) ever give a grade bump on a crossover?

Joe, I've gotten a bump up on crossovers. Never on such a serious card, however. That's not a great scan but assuming the card is not trimmed (which I can't see that it is at all) it is at least a 6 barring an unforseen wrinkle. I think you may get a 7 which would be a sick score for you (keep in mind that the scores on your card average a 6.5 so you're not that far away).
