Default New sniping record set on ebay

I was sniped 4 times with 3 seconds left in the auction on ebay on 4 separate E94s tonight by the same guy. That has to be a record

I forgot to add that all 4 cards went off simultaneously at the same time. Apparently he has some hellacious sniping software at his disposal...

Bob, if you can't beat 'em, it's time to join 'em. It's not so hellacious a software program---you could even write it yourself. If you wanted to go with one of the snipe services, it wouldn't even cost you that much.

is dumping his stock portfolio and putting all his money on caramel cards. He will singlehandedly make the ecards the hottest thing in the hobby, with his recent e97s purchases and now e94s .

Being as I have the highest graded E-94's ( all of them* ) by PSA and SGC and it would surely make my set go through the roof! Hey Bob ,my purple SGC 96 McGraw will look good on your dresser as well!

You're right, Brian, that violet McGraw would be a very welcome addition, but since I prefer having 4 limbs and not giving up an arm and a leg for an SGC 96 card, I'd probably stick with my EX copy.
The one thing I have noticed is that the 5 E94s went for too much based on condition. I don't know if this is because:
1) The caramel card market is drying up and bidders want them in any condition at any price;
2) Collectors are finally realizing the rarity of caramel cards;
3) Prices for lesser grade issues will start to narrow the gap a little on better condition cards.
4) It was just a fluke night.

Or Dan would go whacky. I paid too much for the set Bob but the PSA 7 Cobb made it worth it! maybe I should post a few of them.

to get around sniping software is be prepared to make the "No one will be crazy enough to bid this high" bid. Obviously, this is only to be used on a card you suspect you cannot live without, because if people are out there using sniping software, chances are THEY are willing to set the software at a very high bid number.

Let's face it- as options like sniping software become more prevelant, it's harder and harder to get the comparative bargains that could come from someone not having the time to make another bid after one they make 10 seconds before auction's close fails. SO- you have to be prepared to bid high if you want to guarantee success.
