Some recent pick-ups. The R308 has the cleanest image I have seen on the issue.

Great pick ups..... I agree, that is the sharpest R308 I think I have ever seen. I am more amazed at how many T330-2's you picked up. That's a lifetime's supply.

Leon & Rawn,

Thanks for the compliments. The Piedmont stamps have condition issues, but they are pretty tough
to locate.

Rawn, if I ever decide to part with Carrigan I'll keep you in mind.

All T330-2's have condition issues and yours aren't bad for the most part....a really clean looking group actually. These came from a barn to me...

Not to go too deep into discussion on a pickup thread but this Wags is one of my favorite cards.....Why would any collector get rid of this card? Funny quick story...Before this went up on ebay I asked the seller, David Bryan, to sell it outright to me. Of course, as good of friends as we are, he had to say no because that is his philosophy and principle. David and I are pretty close so if he would have done it for anyone I think he would have done it for me. At any rate my offer was $50 below what I won it for happy.gif....so I think it was a fair offer....We both laughed about it after the fact....

Very nice, I thought my 1891 Boston Cabinet was unique. Does yours have a scorecard on the back also?

Thanks Phil. Yes, the card does have a scorecard back, which has been filled out. However, since it has been quite severely trimmed on the bottom (as seen from the front), you cannot read the players' names on the scorecard back. The auction write-up speculated that this card might be unique also. However, I knew that was not the case, having already seen your example on your website before I bid. Perhaps we have the only two?! Thanks again.

Ken

"When are you hooking me up? It's been two nights since I've bought something and I'm getting the shakes." I know the feeling, Jeff.

19th Century package arrived today.
Obak Weaver & PCB Lewis already posted in 19th Cent. thread; Johnson is my first Zeenut with a coupon.

Although I swore off set collecting I have finally succumbed to the siren call of caramel cards. Am eight cards into the E93 set. I have made an album on my ImageEvent site and if you have any cards I need in low-grade, high eye-appeal condition, please let me know. When I re-submit the Chance Chase I will ask them to add "Jeff Lichtman Collection" to the flip.

Cobb from Heritage, Matty from Mastro, Chase from Tony A.
[linked image] [linked image] [linked image]

Gibson and Wiltse from eBay roomn8 , the subject of some discussion here, but an absolutely stand-up guy in my experience.

From David Bryan, this CJ razor. My Dad's second wife's mother's brother Sam Banister (known familiarly as Jerry's uncle) pitched on a Decatur Commie team in the 30's that had old veteran Bescher on the roster. Also took spring training couple of years with Mack's A's. Great-uncle once-removed is as close as the McDonalds have gotten to the Show.

(Edited to crean up the Engrish etc)
(Jeez! You make one tiny edit, everything goes all kine hemajang, ya gotta fix all the links)

Um. Wow. Vintage cards, scantily-clad Dutch people, uku-zillion penguins, authentic Polynesian maidens, surfing Obama and more at . .
(BBHoF album updated, new E93 album)

David, I'm thrilled you ended up with that Chase/Chance -- and so quickly too! The fates were with you. And that is one hell of a nice E93 Matty. Glad to see you got your fix...wait a few days and you'll get the shakes again. happy.gif

Phil & Ken,

That 1891 Boston Cabinet was actually issued in 1895 at an old timers game. It is fairly "common" compared to one of a kind items. I've seen at least 4 or 5 of them in the past 10 years or so. Still a very cool item, and one of the very few items picturing Frank Salee.

Hi Peter. I believe there are two 1911 Zeenuts out there with that strange look, normally called "name in box." One is a Ryan Portland with boxes but there is also a regular looking Ryan Portland. On the Seaton, I believe this is the only Seaton there is and they didn't make one with the regular "no boxes."

I'm not sure what I have, any help would be appreciated. (Picked 'em up for next to nothing, so if that's what they're worth, no biggie)

Measures 8x10 on glossy paper, back is blank...

Thought this one might be wire photo, but its not on glossy paper so I have no clue. Measures 5x7 and back notation is in fountain pen...
