Default 274 T206's

Purchased this group earlier this morning. Fresh to the market--looks like there are some rare variations mixed in. The original owner definitely loved his Sovereigns!

Actually found these in a folder in the 80's - 90's tub. Granted the seller had 6-7 tubs of new stuff.

Now this is what the hobby is all about: the time-consuming, arduous hunt and then finding items you are truly passionate about! Major congratulations are in order!

most of my flea market and box finds are sore feet and paper-cuts. I'd be looking and sorting - and then do it all over again. :-)

I found a group of 100 mid-1920's Zeenuts about 15 years ago at an antique store (in decent shape and cheap), but I think this find easily tops mine. Congrats! And to think it was just lumped in with a bunch of 1980's-90's cards. I don't think a lot of us would have bothered diving into that type of rubbish heap. It reminds me of some dreams I have had of finding old cards just lying on top of garbage cans.

Great find. Man how did you play it cool when negotiating for those. Mixed in with junk he probably did not even know what they were. That find would be very exciting.

Nothing like a "find" to set the heart a' pumpin'! CONGRATS!

The fun of going thru them, sorting, then inspecting for anomalies is worth the price alone, aside from any card value itself!

I'm still inspecting the 136 card "find" I came across 4 yrs ago!

Default T206 Flea Market Find

Thanks for all the kind responses. Turner and I are currently sorting the cards. It really is a task, scanning, sorting, keeping the backs and fronts straight for scans etc... but it is fun.

Most of the cards range in the SGC 10 - 30 range. Will post more later.

Thanks for all the PM's as well.

Thanks,

Matt E.

In the immortal words of Jeff Spicoli, "awesome! Totally awesome!"

I am so happy for you, Matt! If it were me that found them, I don't think I could have contained my sheer delight. I'm afraid I don't have much of a poker face.

Do you have a favorite card (or three) thus far?
